I specially ordered the largest handcrafted mulberry paper within size limitations. Because the paper continues to dry while I am in the middle of stretching onto the panel, I proceed with my effort while covering the paper with a thin sheet of plastic to prevent evaporation.
It is going to be a vertical composition, but my hand would not be able to reach the top of the panel so instead I am placing it horizontally and uniformaly applying the base paint. If this process is not carefully done, I will be left with uneven brush marks that will be troublesome to deal with later.
I will be working on this project until the end of this year. It will be a project in Manhattan.
