The theme of this exhibition is tradition and innovation. I am creating 9 large works and 11 scrolls.
Combining natural pigments, ultramarine blue and jet black burned ultramarine, I am exploring the color to express the depth of the forest between the waterfalls.
Using special brush called renpitsu, a brush with small single brushes joined, I am painting the dark forest with special blue. Panels behind me is the large work that I will be working next.
I am finalizing all the works. It is a struggle to have all the works come to the same atmosphic feeling.
