I am having discussions with Chikuunsai Tanabe about a project, to be held during Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The project will also come to Tokyo. Chikuunsai Tanabe is the young artist who I am most interested in.
Researchers from the People's Republic of China visited the venue. We talked about the historical roots of hanging scrolls and Japanese paintings, and there was a lively discussion about how we should further promote cultural exchanges between Japan and China.
I came to Furusato Elementary School in Okutama. Again, we worked with Japanese mulberry paper. I am always impressed with children's imaginations, far exceed my expectation.
