The work "Mikurodo" is now open to public at the museum. This work was created after researching the area where Kobo Daishi Kukai undertook mountain training and probably experienced an animism view of nature.

The award ceremony for Japanese Painting 2024 was taken place in Tokyo. In the center is Grand Prize winner Li Dan with his work "Tsuchi wo ayumu hibi (days of walking on the earth)", on the right is the Honorable Prize winner Tanaka Motoyuki's work "Inochi no yurikago (the cradle of Life)", and on the left is the Honorable Prize winner Weihong's work "Sanka (brilliant blossoms)".

After returning to New York, I am putting the finishing touches on a large-scale work called "Echoes from Afar," about five meters wide, based on the same research done for "Mikurodo" work. This work will be on permanent display at the Nara National Museum from the end of May.
