This artwork is a large piece, measuring 194 cm in height and 486 cm in width. As a general rule, I accomodate the flow of all the waterfalls as I pour pigments on the screen. This is because the work represent all aspects in the world. However, sometimes, it is also necessary to refine the traces of the flow that remain on the screen and make subtle adjustments to bring order to the chaos.

I felt that Mr. Tanabe's work embodies Tanabe himself. It was as if the subject and the object were one. Daisetsu Suzuki, a Japanese philosopher, once referred to this as the essence of Eastern aesthetic. In this exhibition space, Japanese contemporary art has come to life.

Small works are also included in this exhibition. The tokonoma alcove is covered in bamboo, and the fabric of the hanging scroll features a pattern reminiscent of bamboo. This fabric is approximately 400 years old. This exemplifies the relationship between tradition and innovation.

I am serving as a judge for the children's art competition held at the Dojima River Forum, alongside Mr. Yoichi Inoue, the director of the Nara National Museum. There were many compelling and vividly colorful works.
