This is the main dinning area of the ship.  I have adjusted the lighting for each works.  The key is to adjust the volume of the lighting just right for those who are dining.

In November, "Exhibition of Sayumi Okuda and Hiroshi Senju" will be held at Seigado Natsume Gallery, commemorating its 95th anniversary. I will be exhibiting a few scrolls.  At Seikodo Nakajima in Kyoto, I am arranging the fabric with the painting.  The fabrics are all from Edo period, and some came from China.  They are from my collection of fabrics.

I am traveling to explore images for my new painting.  Standing close to the waves crashing against the rocks, I feel a huge energy from the splashing water, like a hydroelectric power plant, and I am revived.

I am organizing the image for the work which will be installed in Tokyo National Museum.  It will be a 30 panels long large byobu (60 panels including the images on both side of the byobu).  I want to represent "now" with platinum on one side, and colors from Asuka period which Horyuji temple was constructed on the other.  I am expanding my imagination while examining all kinds of materials.
